Mindspan Psychology is a telehealth psychology practice committed to providing accessible, high-quality psychological care to individuals across Australia.

We understand that mental health challenges can affect anyone, regardless of location - and we believe quality support should be available no matter where you live.

Our services are delivered by a fully registered psychologist with extensive experience in private practice, trauma-informed care, child development, and adult mental health.

Registered Psychologist: Trish Johnston

Trish Johnston is a registered psychologist at Mindspan Psychology. She works as a client centred Psychologist who aims to build a safe space where clients can strive for improved wellbeing. She is a warm and compassionate clinician who uses a person-centred approach.

Trish has over 20 years of experience in child, adolescent, and adult mental health across clinical, educational, and government settings. Throughout this time, Trish has worked in child protection, trauma, and family support, providing psychological consultation, assessment, and intervention services for children and families with complex psychosocial needs. Trish has bachelor degree qualifications in Psychology and Education, as well as diploma qualifications in Child Development and Children's Services. Trish has a current WWCC and NDIS clearance.

Trish has a special interest and skills/experience in:

• Trauma and attachment

• Parenting support and education

• Individuals in rural/remote communities and those who face barriers to support

• Women’s mental health (trauma, separation, PTSD, perinatal/postpartum difficulties, stress/overwhelm, perimenopause/menopause)

• Neurodiversity (ASD/ADHD)

• Mind-body approaches to wellbeing and chronic pain

• EMDR and parts work for complex trauma and chronic pain

Due to an increase in hours, Trish currently has immediate availability, with no waitlist.

Appointments can be made via our website, with 15 minute consultation calls provided to prospective clients, to ensure suitability.

Telehealth Psychology Services Australia-Wide

All sessions are delivered via secure video call, making professional psychological care easy to access - whether you're in a city, a rural town, or anywhere in between.

Individual Therapy

We support adults, teens (age 13+), and parents navigating a range of concerns via telehealth, including:

Your psychologist will tailor your sessions to suit your needs, drawing from:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing)

  • Fee: $250 (Medicare rebate available with GP Mental Health Care Plan)
